Hanna has lost everything: her family, her village, everyone she ever braided hair for, danced with, read to. All slaughtered. And now, she's been dragged before a sadistic ruler who promises to break her mind and body all because Mulsae tried to protect someone else and pointed the blade at an innocent by mistake.
