This is Too Much Too Fast

She wants to drown.

Hanna has lost everything: her family, her village, everyone she ever braided hair for, danced with, read to. All slaughtered. And now, she's been dragged before a sadistic ruler who promises to break her mind and body all because Mulsae tried to protect someone else and pointed the blade at an innocent by mistake.

She screams because dying seems kinder than living in this gilded cage. Mulsae pulls her out of the water anyway, not because he’s noble, but because he can’t let her go. He’s trapped too. So he holds her and swears he’ll help her survive the horror he helped make.

Breaking Out is about the quiet rebellion that begins when a monster tries to become a protector — and how sometimes the smallest choice can still cost someone else everything.
